Team Edward

I am dedicating this next post to my friend Mandi and also to my sister in-law Teeny. May Edward forever be remembered in our hearts. What suckers we are!

My mom Kris, me, Teeny my sister in-law, and Jesse's mom Becky decided to go to the release party at Barnes and Noble for Stephenie Meyer's book "Breaking Dawn". I made us all T-shirts so we could all be wrapped up in the moment. This was the first time I have ever been to a book party of some sort and it was absolutely crazy! And it was also the most fun I have had in a long time. I am so glad that I could sucker these other three ladies to come with me and join my loser self in this madness!

What a happening bunch of ladies we are.

This is just part of the crowd that we had to deal with. Like I said...Madness.

Barnes and Noble hired actors to play Edward and Bella. And if you wanted to you could spend half the night in their reception line just so you could have your picture taken with them. We decided to get a picture ourselves! The Edward was pretty dreamy... they should have hired him for the movie instead of the guy they picked!

We had to have a little midnight snack while we waited for our books so we went across the street to hit up IHOP. So I forgot to mention that this party was from 8:30pm to 1:00am.. 1:00am for us anyway. There were still a few hundred people behind us in line to get their books.

Me and Teeny with our cokes trying to stay awake!

Okay... so enough of the book nonsense. I was privileged enough to watch Ava my little niece on Friday. She is so funny and her and Finn are just cute together. I am lame so I only took two pictures, but oh well..what can you do.

I had to add this picture because of how sweet my baby looks when he is sleeping. Maybe because when he is awake his new favorite words are "NO" and "Mine". So he is not my sweet little boy right now when he is awake!

You guys are dorks, plain and simple. Teeny loved going with you and now that she is finished with her book, maybe I can get a little face time with her.

Lindy, I am obsessed as you are. Thank goodness I'm in Young Womens and have an excuse to keep my teenage fantasies alive. I heart Edward too. Nice shirts! I would have loved to join in on the party with you ladies. I'm sure it was a blast to be so silly for a while. - Lenna

Okay so I didn't go to the release party but I would have if I'd been in town.

I purchased my copy as soon as I got home and spent the whole weekend with my nose in that book. I've told Lane several times that although I love him dearly - if Edward were real and he happened to choose me as the object of his affection - I would have to divorce him straightaway. :)

Lindy, I'm so jealous that you were able to go at midnight to get the book! I was out of town and David forbid me from going and getting it because he said I wouldn't hang out with him if I bought it while on vacation! ha ha. It looks like you had a great time!

That is awesome you went to a Breaking Dawn party! The shirts were super cute and it looks like you ladies had a blast. I'm totally jealous. What did you think of the book? I hope you are loving Utah. We miss you here :(

Lindy, I had no idea you were so pathetic - just kidding. I'm surprised Melissa didn't do the same thing when that stupid book came out. Jesse, you're losing control of your woman. :)

You guys are cool. Hope you're enjoying all things Ogden.
Later,
Jake M.
