White Trash America

We were looking over our blog today and decided that we look entirely too yuppie. We don't want people to get the impression that we are fancies. The following pictures will hopefully convince you all that we, in fact, lean to trashies. It will also give you a smattering of what we have been up to for the past couple weeks.

Obviously, Jesse. Note in this picture the following:
1- Jesse's pants. Although he would like to think that the hipster kids would appreciate the brown, fuzzy patch/pocket and make his pants look high-end-gangsta', it really is nothing more than a crappy patch put on by el-cheapo so that he won't have to go buy a new pair. He would like to mention, the brown fuzzy pocket is completely functional. This material was from an old curtain that used to hang in Finn's room.
2- Sunglasses- This is actually a pair of sunglasses that G-ma Kris got after her cataract surgery a few weeks ago. Jesse thinks his boy Kayne would appreciate these but this is debatable seeing that the brand "Eye Shield" is not exactly dope.
3- Location- Laramie, WY. Just the fact that we were there says a lot about us.

Lest you think Jesse is the only trashie, a picture of Lindy sporting the eye shields. We were a little hesitant to post this picture because she is talking on a cell phone, maybe giving you the impression that she is fancy. She cusses on the phone all the time.

We were in Denver last week, totally mooching off our good friends, Nic and Casey. Here is a picture of our evidently homeless little boy jumping on their trampoline.

This really isn't too trashie but the fact that Jesse thinks he is really a rock star when he is playing this game isn't too fancy either. Finn was totally rocking as well, despite what you might think after this picture and his crossing legs pose.

This is in Denver at our friends' home, scooting around with baby Ashly. We let our booger tromp around in his diaper anytime, anywhere.

Yep, that's us. The family that lets their kid play in the fountain at the nice mall. The floor gets all wet and then we joke about somebody slipping and falling on it. We laughed even more when a sweet little old lady walked in that direction a few moments after we left the soggy mess.

We have crazy time a lot. We just say, "Finn, time to be crazy," and let what will be, be.

We are done with the trashie and fancie talk now. Hopefully we have gained a little street cred. This is a picture of Finn Diego and Maddi hitting the slide in Denver. Jesse had a week off so we took advantage and drove out there to see friends with babies that were born after we left. We had a great time and plan to mooch off everybody again soon. Jesse mentioned that he really felt sick as they were driving into town because he loves Denver so much. It was 70 degrees while we were there. Coming back to freezing, snowy O-town was a little bit of a downer.

At the Denver Zoo with Blake and metal gorilla.

A weird animal. If you know the name of this beast, you are the winner.

Lastly, Neil and Becky jamming. Becker looks like she is in a very happy place and Neil looks like he plays this way more than he admits. We spent a couple days in Salt Lake after our Denver trip and may have to post more pictures later- we are tiring fast.

Let me add that there was absolutely NO mooching while in Denver, and that you are welcome to come hang with us ANY TIME you want!!! It was so very good to have you guys here, I so wish you were closer to us!!
ps.I love the trashiness, the gangsta patch and shades, the diaper sportin baby (btw, mine was lettin it all hang out too!) and the water splashing fun in front of stores I cant afford to walk through.

Jesse what happened to your cute beard??? The scaled down version is kind of -well ..."trashy"! Oh yeah, right ...Lindy's birthday and all. Whitney is waiting for you to have a day off so you can call her. She is mourning the loss of native speaking Russians and needs a language "fix". If you really want to get away from frozen O'town you really need to head South to Texas. It's the perfect time of year for a get away. Plus our zoo can beat the Denver zoo hands down! Not to mention our children's museum -which is totally awesome.

P.S. we welcome any and all moochers!

You guys are so funny! I was laughing the whole way through that post! Finn is so cute!

The only thing that could possibly help Jesse's trashiness is Finndy. Without them I'm pretty sure Jesse's looking for a new cardboard box.

You are too much.

Awesome, as always! But your parents need to pick up their power stances if they're really going to rock out...

Jesse, I hope you don't mind me stalking your blog. I just found you this morning on Telisse's blog. It's good to see you are still trashy! Looks like things are going well for you.

I believe that would be a tapir. Tapirs are large browsing mammals, roughly pig-like in shape, with short, prehensile snouts. They inhabit jungle and forest regions of South America, Central America, and Southeast Asia. All four species of tapir are classified as endangered or vulnerable. Their closest relatives are the other odd-toed ungulates, including horses and rhinoceroses. What do I win? Ahh, the useless knowledge I have acquired from countless hours of watching Dora and Diego w/the munchkins.

Anywho...great post guys. Jesse, it was your "trashiness" that made me respect you back in the day, and it's your trashiness that still makes me want to be your friend. I saw your comment on my blog post and yes PNUT is pretty crazy! No, he was way cool and so was Tim. I actually have something to send you so be looking for it in the mail sometime this year....
And last but not least, yes we need to come to O-town and hang w/the fellow trashies and check out the model trains. Love you guys, and tell the Finnster howdy from uncle Jakey.

p.s. Juice, that's a freakin' cool "rock star microphone grab stance" if I've ever seen one. You give Nick Hexum a run for his money and I better not ever let Melissa see you rockin out like that or I'll have to beat her off of you w/a stick!

Hi There -

I guess I would be considered a "Lurker" to your blog. I was doing an internet search on my son's name...too much time on my hands perhaps? Anyway, your blog popped up when I typed his name - Finn Diego, and I had to see what another one of those looked like :) Absolutely adorable. He looks about the same age as my older son Casey William (22 months). Enjoy Finn, he's got a wonderful name and very cool parents for having thought of it!!
